Intended for use with mixed drinks only. Each Absolut Elyx Copper Cocktail Shaker is made of copper-plated zinc sealed with an FDA-approved food-safe lacquer. -
In the early days of the cocktail craft, this process was achieved by stirring vigorously and later by pouring or “throwing” the cocktail between glasses – which could often be a messy process. Canny bartenders soon settled on shakers as a more efficient solution. Early shakers were made of glass, but the versions favored by bartenders today tend to be metal on metal.
