World Water Day 2017: #RaiseItForward with Absolut Elyx for Water For People
In 2015, Absolut Elyx and Water For People launched a partnership where every bottle of Elyx sold in the U.S. is matched by a donation that provides a week’s supply of water to someone in need (140 Liters).
Every contribution also helps create sustainable water solutions that last for generations to come. Since launch, we have raised over $500,000, which in turn, is helping to provide lasting access to safe water for over 15,000 people.
March 22 is World Water Day, a day when the world turns its attention towards the billions of people who lack access to safe water. Absolut Elyx and Water For People want nothing more than to reduce that number.
To celebrate World Water Day, we invite you to join us to inspire others to do the same as we bring back our #raiseitforward initiative to provide safe, sustainable water solutions for all. Last year we raised over 120,000 liters from our social campaign.
It’s simple, on Wednesday, March 22:
1. Take a picture of yourself raising a glass to help fill the glasses of those in need with the most important drink in the world: water. (check last year pics for inspiration on Instagram #raiseitforward)
2. Use hashtag #raiseitforward and tag @absolutelyx & @waterforpeople
3. Post to Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter
For every post shared using #raiseitforward from the month between World Water Day and Earth Day (April 22), Absolut Elyx will donate a week’s supply of water to someone in need ensuring that your glass will always be half-full.
